About Us

Dr.
John Kothmann, DVM
Dr.
Kothmann was born
and raised in San Antonio. He Grew up several blocks
from pet hospital location. He graduated from Texas
A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. He
has one dog, “ Hombre”. They both enjoy going to
ranch where Hombre can see his barn cat friends.
Studies - Dr.
Kothmann received his Veterinarian training at
The Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine &
Biomedical Sciences. He has been a licensed
practicing Veterinarian for over 40 years.
Continuing Education - Dr. Kothmann
stays current with the latest in veterinarian
advancements through his involvement in
Veterinarian Continuing Education. Your pet will
always have the most effective, latest
treatments, from routine vaccinations to
advanced surgical procedures.
Treatment Philosophy - “An ounce
of prevention...”. No better way to avoid pet
health issues than keeping our pets safe with
preventative vaccines and medicine. Dr.
Kothmann's clinic is well stocked with the
latest meds to keep your dog in good health. Dr.
Kothmann also believes that diet is critical and
can help you determine what and how much your
pet should eat. Special foods are stocked at the
clinic for dogs with digestive problems and
other disorders that require a special diet.

Dr. Chris LaBrie, DVM
Dr. LaBrie was born and raised in San Antonio. He
grew up in his father's veterinary clinic on the
South side of San Antonio. His younger brother is
also a veterinarian and works with their father. Dr.
LaBrie graduated from Keystone School. He and his
wife have two dogs; "Hank", (a Dachshund) and "Layla"
( a Boxer Mix).
Studies
- Dr. LaBrie graduated from Texas A&M University
in 2009 with a degree in Chemistry. He then went on
to graduate from Ross University School of
Veterinary Medicine in 2013. He has practiced
veterinary medicine in San Antonio his entire
career.

Heather Smith - Receptionist/Technician
Heather
has had a lifelong passion for animals. She studied
animal science and agriculture at Texas A&M, and
proudly holds the position of
receptionist/veterinary technician. Heather enjoys
spending time with her family including her Boston
Terrier/Chihuahua mix ‘Nibbler’ and feline companion
‘Cleocatra’.

Denise Jones - Receptionist
Denise
loves to care for your pets! She loves her position
here as a receptionist, where she provides
outstanding customer service. Denise has 4 pets at
home; including Mac, her husband’s service dog,
Keira, Karma and a cat Nova. She is a military
spouse that loves to travel, go to her sons’
football games, and daughters’ Jiu Jitsu
tournaments.
